Whether you love to hike, bike, walk, run, picnic, or just spend time in nature, our events are a great way to make new friends, reconnect with old ones, get moving, and have fun. Most of our trails are wheelchair, stroller, and bike accessible unless noted, with wide, paved or packed gravel paths. Come as you are and stay as long as you like. Everyone is welcome!
Weโll meet at Shaw Park, 55 Partridge Lane, Gorham, to walk, ride, or run the scenic trail around the river. Let the kids roam the sand dunes and explore the historic Gunpowder Mill, dating back to 1824!
๐ด Bike riders can continue on the Mountain Division Trail to Otter Pond. ๐ฝ Lunch Option: Visit Orchard Ridge Farm on Route 237 to enjoy good food and say hi to goats and chickens!Weโll meet at 528 Hallowell Rd, Pownal, ME 04069, to hike the scenic Bradbury Mountain trails to stunning views. State Park fees: $4 Adult, $1 Age 5-11, Free for under 5. Playground, picnic tables, outhouses. Click for trail map.
We will be going up steep, intermediate, Summit Trail for .3 miles and coming down on Northern Loop 1 mile, and terrace 0.3, and bluff 0.2 = 1.8 miles total. Families can decide on route they want to take.
๐ด There are also some varied trail options for those of you who have mountain bikes or hybrids and want to ride.

๐ Meet at Bug Light Park @ 11:00 AM. Join us for a relaxing bike ride or walk along this paved, car-free trail.
๐งบ Weโll picnic at Bug Light park before we head out, so pack your favorite lunch and snacks!
Perfect for all ages. Families with little ones can head back early while others continue on the trail.Bug Light is also a great place to fly kites!

๐ฒ Pedal the 3.9-mile scenic loop around the island.
๐ Most of the bike riders meet at 9:30 AM at East End Beach, biking the Eastern Promenade Trail to the ferry.
๐งบ Bring a picnic or grab lunch at one of the island restaurants. Stay on the island for as long as you like.
Optional: Explore the spooky and historic Battery Steele fort!
Ferry cost: $14.00 adult, $7.00 child/senior, under 5 free. Adult bike $7, Child bike $3.50.

Douglas Mountain 1.5 mile round trip. A stone tower at the top with views of Sebago Lake and White Mountains.
๐ Meet at Preble St. Extension parking lot โ 6:00
Weโll walk, ride, or run the 3.6-mile loop around Back Cove in Portland. Itโs usually cooler at the coast so it will be a good way to cool off.
๐ฒ Bikers can extend the trip down the Eastern Promenade Trail to enjoy ocean views. Round trip biking is ~10 miles.
๐ดโโ๏ธ Saturday โ Leave the Acadia Visitor Center at 8 AM sharp to beat traffic on Park Loop Road if pedaling. Join Scott and Robin Linscott for a scenic ride on the Park Loop Road and Carriage Roads (25โ28 miles).

You will need to start planning early to get lodging whether motel, airbnb or camping.
๐Tumbledown Mountain is a mountain in Franklin County, Maine. The mountain is a popular hiking spot in western Maine, with trailheads located on Byron Road in unincorporated Township 6, north of Weld. It is distinguished by an alpine pond just below the summit.

Walk or ride the wide, flat, packed dirt and gravel trail through the beautiful Scarborough Marsh.

๐ If the weather cooperates, join us for a leaf-peeping ride on the Mountain Division Trail, Fryburg segment, starting at the Welcome Center 97 Main St, Fryeburg, ME 04037

๐ Afterward, some of us will drive to North Conway for lunch and more scenic views in the beautiful park at the center.
๐Mt Battie Camden Hills State Park, 280 Belfast Rd., Camden. Pack a picnic lunch. Post-hike option: Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse 1 mile rock wall out to see the lighthouse.
